Itinerary Highlights
Day 1 – Arrival in Saumur
Travel via Eurotunnel to Calais and onward to Saumur. Check in for a five‑night stay. Dinner included.
Day 2 – Tours & Wine Cellars
Guided tour of medieval Tours: Place Plumereau, Cathédrale St Gatien, Basilique St‑Martin. Wine tour and tasting at Gratien & Meyer.
Day 3 – Amboise & Chenonceau
Visit Château d’Amboise, Chapel St Hubert (Leonardo da Vinci’s resting place) and Clos Lucé. Continue to Château de Chenonceau, famed for its graceful arches over the river.
Day 4 – Fontevraud & Villandry
Guided tour of Abbey Fontevraud, burial site of Henry II, Eleanor of Aquitaine and Richard the Lionheart. Explore Château de Villandry’s renowned tiered Renaissance gardens.
Day 5 – Angers
Discover Château d’Angers and the monumental Apocalypse Tapestry. Afternoon guided visit to Musée des Beaux Arts, housed in the historic Logis Barrault.
Day 6 – Return Journey
Free time in Le Touquet before returning to Calais for the Eurotunnel crossing and onward to local drop‑off points.
